The Spiral Of Miley Cyrus - Where Will It Lead Next?

Following Miley Cyrus and her misdemeanors is kind of like a hurricane slowly causing problems wherever it lands. A once Disney star has recently decided that she "needs a change" and wants to "be herself" so she has taken some pretty drastic measures to achieve this change. I think people first started noticing this after her raunchy performance at August's MTV VMA Awards co-starring Robin Thicke where she sung her song We Cant Stop with her tongue out for the vast majority of it (first of all proving that she wasn't actually singing) and twerking which she has turned into her own personal trademark despite it being mentioned in many 90's pop/RnB songs. In fairness to Miley though, she did write Can't Be Tamed 4 years ago. We should have really taken that as a warning.

The only problem with being a Disney star is that as soon as you enter that field of acting, even after you're long gone, you'll always be the Disney star, so even doing something slightly deviant from the norm is something society will make into a big deal. We live in a world of media lies and over exaggerations, it's perfectly normal! However, there is a fine difference between doing your own thing and finding yourself and acting the way the failed people in the business tell you to act. I also find it kind of surprising that so many teenagers are going along with her new image and claiming that "she is 20 and can do what she likes", which is true, but please remember that we live in a world dominated by judgement and media manipulation so one article can change gullible people's view on someone forever *cough* Justin Bieber *cough*.

First of all, the open letter from Sinead O'Connor was just a piece of advice to her guiding her through since she's had a career like this herself. Miley didn't have to throw back the abuse that she did. But if you got the abuse you did, wouldn't you stop writing letters to avoid the same harsh words being regurgitated? Sinead has now wrote 4 letters, the latest one demanding an apology from the star for her comments. I don't think Sinead should be expecting any reply in her mail box any time soon...

Miley recently had a release party in New York for her latest album Bangerz in which she basically wore a bra and panty set and made out with a man dressed as a giant baby, all of the photos were posted publicly on her Twitter account. I know Miley has the body that girls everywhere die for, but girls also need some dignity for themselves (i.e: wearing clothes in a public setting). I think this has a definite correlation between the only fashion item dominating kids clothes stores nowadays being crop tops and short shorts. And can we also just question that her album is called Bangerz because as she stated on British chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man, it is because she herself thinks all the songs on her album are "bangers". Modesty gone too far.

People link Miley and pop sensation Justin Bieber together because of their slightly deviant behavior over the course of the year, but honestly, and I mean this in the least biased way possible, Miley and Justin are on two different leagues. Whilst Justin has managed to hold onto his beliebers, and his clothes...most of the time, Miley has lost many of her fans who once idolized her on her hit TV show Hannah Montana. This was largely due to the vacuum of disgruntled parents worldwide forcing their children to let go of their idol. Also, Justin's antics never harmed anyone, until they hit the media and public eye.

So, the spiral of Miley Cyrus is only set to keep in motion, so where will it lead next?
