We are only in the first month of 2015 but it is already looking like a good year for music and fresh new talent to grace our lives. Here are a few of my own personal favourites that I predict will have an amazing and successful 2015.
The Mispers ~
Towards the end of 2014, The Mispers released their first single "Shoulder" which immediately got me intrigued by this band. With a quirky sound, they are set to bring prosperity to the indie music scene in the next 12 months and beyond. A strong recommendation!
Halsey ~
Think of a more grungy Lady Gaga and you have Halsey - an American hip-hop grunge singer with a voice which is a cross between Lana Del Rey and Chloe Howl. Her harsh tones combined with heartfelt and meaningful lyrics will send shivers down your spine (in a good way of course) Halsey is the breath of fresh air the music scene needs. A talent for all types of music fans. Unfortunately, her groundbreaking EP is not available on UK iTunes yet *sighs deeply*
Circa Waves ~

Circa Waves ~
The Liverpudlian indie rock band recently toured with the likes of The Libertines and The 1975 and got a very impressive reception at both tours. Their upcoming album "Young Chasers" is in my eyes set to be something big for this year and set to hit my very own but very prestigious albums of the year list. With a sound very similar to The Strokes, their music is fun and energetic but still holds strong musical value in terms of guitar and bass. Their album, when it releases in late March, is a must buy album for 2015.
Saint Raymond ~
I have mentioned this extremely talented guy in my review post about the Ed Sheeran gig at the 02 back in October and I said that he would be someone to watch in 2015. So here I am, in 2015, telling you exactly the same thing again. Recently nominated for MTV Brand New of 2015, it is not only me who thinks that he is a diamond in the rough. A great artist for a summer playlist.
Jackie Onassis ~
If indie rock bands and heavy guitar riffs are not really your thing, then try Jackie Onassis for your next musical fix. The Sydney born hip-hop/rap duo have released several mixtapes and EP's through 2014 and into the beginning of 2015. Their latest installment entitled "Sushi" is slick, modern and simply wonderful. It is also free from their official website so it's a win win really!: http://www.jackieonassis.net/home
Years and Years ~
Recently the winner of BBC's Sound of 2015, the English electronica/experimental hip-hop band are known as the ones to watch in 2015 by a various amount of people. If you like your music with a hint of reminiscent 90's house thrown in the mix, then Years and Years should be your band to watch too.
James Bay ~
The real deal - James Bay has it all! The quirky look, the acoustic sound, the intriguing yet angelic voice - James Bay really is the king of 2015, and we've only just got the year started. This week he completely sold out his first ever headline tour, partly due to ever growing popularity of his single "Hold Back The River" His EP with the same name is also an acoustic masterpiece. My personal favourite from that EP is "Sparks" - it's one of those songs that makes you wonder what your life was ever like before you knew it, it's powerful stuff. His debut album "Chaos and the Calm" is due to release in March, and I'm very excited to see what other wonders James can grace us with.
