Ones To Watch - The Staycations

I distinctly remember how I found out about The Staycations. It was one of those nights when you feel like you need a new music discovery to blow you away so you take to Spotify to find that feeling. I found it that night with The Staycations.

The five piece up and coming indie folk band from Cambridge won the most recent Junction's "Fiver Fest" contest, a prestigious music gig amongst Cambridge folk which involves 5 contests battling for crowd applause all for the entry fee of a fiver (clue is in the title really) After entering the contest three times in previous years, the band finally gained their rightful soar to victory.

With a couple of EP's under their belt, The Staycations are a band that really will deliver and a band you definitely need to watch. If you live or around Cambridge, there will be plenty of opportunity to see this young, fresh and exciting band including THIS weekend at the Strawberry Fair on Midsummer Common or on the Thursday night of The Secret Garden Party Festival on 23 July!

I would highly recommend doing one of those music discovery nights yourselves some time. Extremely therapeutic and you discover some life changing bands through it.
